Pressfit comes in many different brands, it's an ideal solution for where welding may not be viable in some cases such as ATEX rated zones, it offers a speedy and modern approach to pipefitting practices.

Threaded pipework is viable up to 50mm (2") for newly installed gas pipework under Gas safe regulations, you may come across much larger threaded gas mains but this is generally old existing installations, so if it is bigger than 2" and you're looking for an extension it would have to be welded or press fit to continue the installation.
