At Purge point, we specialise in the commissioning, purging, and testing of commercial gas systems — including natural gas and LPG. Our experienced team works with all sizes of industrial and commercial pipework, supporting everything from new installations to decommissioning and safety checks. Our engineers are 6G coded to ISO standards, ensuring the highest quality in all welded pipework — whether for gas, steam, compressed air, or process systems. We also take on small fabrication projects and offer structural welding where required, giving you the flexibility to get everything done by one skilled team.
Purging/Decommissioning
We can also offer direct purging of all pipe work systems of any size with compliance to igem/UP/1, whether it's air to gas to make your systems live after satisfactory tightness testing or we can fully de-commission your gas mains ready for strip out jobs or demolition.
Gas Booster/ compressor installation.

We offer a fully qualified service to tightness test your existing commercial / industrial gas mains to keep up to date with compliance or a full service to fully strength test and tightness test brand new installs, as pipework commissioning engineers we are capable of making sure all of your installs are to current gas safe standards.
Secondary Gas Meter Installation
At Purge Point Installations, we offer professional installation of secondary gas meters — ideal for monitoring gas usage across complex or shared systems. Whether you're tracking consumption for personal reference or managing multiple units off a single gas main, secondary meters provide a practical and transparent solution.
This is especially useful in larger commercial premises, where a central gas supply feeds multiple units. Installing secondary meters allows landlords or facility managers to monitor individual usage and bill tenants accurately and fairly.
We work with a wide range of meter types, including rotary and turbine meters, and select the correct model based on the burner demand (measured in m³/h) to ensure efficiency, compliance, and reliability.
Pipework installations
We provide a complete range of commercial gas pipework solutions to ensure your natural gas or LPG system is fully operational — whether it’s a new installation or a modification to existing infrastructure.
Our team installs all major pipework systems, including:
- Fully welded systems (no flanged joints)
- Flanged assemblies (welded flanges with mechanical fixings)
- Threaded pipework (up to 50 mm for gas services)
- Electrofusion (butt weld and socket weld techniques)
- Press-fit systems for rapid, secure installation
Gas entries into your commercial / Industrial premises.
We offer coded welding of commercial Gas mains that can be welded in position (6G ) in order to gain access, rather than having a core hole so big to slip the flange through, thus minimising extra work to patch in brickwork.
MDPE Fusion Weld
From gas pipe installations and pressure testing to purging and precision fusion welding, we provide everything needed to keep your systems running safely and efficiently. Our team of multi-skilled engineers brings extensive experience across systems including gas, process water, compressed air, and steam.
We also offer MDPE fusion welding for buried gas services to your premises, using both socket weld fittings and butt fusion jointing. Our work is carried out to EFJLP1 standards (Electrofusion Jointing of Polyethylene Pipework), ensuring full compliance across all PE pipework installations.
